The design of this villa in Pardis New Town emerged from a desire to create a dwelling that feels as though it is carved into the landscape—like a hidden retreat nestled within a mountain. Inspired by the raw beauty and silent strength of natural rock formations, our concept centered on recreating the experience of “a home inside a mountain,” not by excavating into the earth, but by shaping space through five monumental stone walls.
These five structural stone walls became the core spatial and conceptual elements of the project. Rather than using traditional partitions or rooms defined by light materials, we introduced these massive, textured stone planes to anchor the villa in its environment—both visually and functionally. The walls do more than merely divide space; they generate space. They act as spatial organizers that define the character, orientation, and rhythm of the entire house.
Each wall serves a specific role in the architectural narrative. Some provide privacy and enclosure, shielding the residents from neighboring plots or the street, while others open up to frame dramatic views of the surrounding hills and sky. Together, they create a sequence of indoor and outdoor experiences, guiding movement and shaping moments of openness and intimacy.
